About Convenient Colorado Counseling in Colorado Springs

WHAT DOES CONVENIENT COLORADO COUNSELING MEAN?

Convenient comes from my understanding, from personal experiences, that counseling can be challenging to fit into our busy lives. This is why I offer counseling sessions online via HIPAA compliant video chat.

As your counselor, I want you to feel comfortable and safe while we work together to create the change you want to see in your life. To make my counseling services more accessible, I offer online counseling sessions to all Colorado residents.

My Counseling approach is aimed to help you find your reasons for getting out of bed tomorrow and create a rewarding life.

Our Vision

MS, LPC (SHE/HER)

I provide individual counseling for all Coloradoans (ages 15+) through online appointments. I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology minoring in Communication Disorders and a Masters of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Minnesota State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado. My lifelong calling has always been for serving others. I am beyond thankful for the opportunity to support others in finding their inner strength to build lives they find fulfilling. I have served in various roles supporting people with disabilities for the past 10 years, and through that work I specialize in working with people who may be struggling with the following:

There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach when it comes to counseling because none of our stories or struggles are exactly the same. Although none of our stories are the same, we all still want to feel like we belong, we matter, we have purpose, and our lives are meaningful. These things are possible for your life and I want to help you get to that point. With every person I work with, we start by identifying the strengths and resources they already have. Together we will come up with a plan to move forward with creating the life you want to live. I will support you in discovering the life you want and understanding the changes needed to make it possible. We will face it all together.

Your plan will be as unique as you are. While working together, I will use a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support you in creating the change you want to see in your life. These are things that you will be able to use for a lifetime. The types of therapy used in your unique plan may include:

  • Adapted Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Person-Centered Therapy
  • Strength-Based Therapy
  • Solution Focused Brief Therapy
  • Trauma-Informed Therapy
  • Existential Therapy

I’m honored to have been a part of The Sammy Project, a project created with the hopes of destigmatizing mental health and telling people’s stories in honor of Sam Yeager, who lost his mental health battle in 2021. Please read more about my mental health journey and help honor Sam. Hopefully, The Sammy Project will help you feel less alone and remind you that people are fighting internal battles just like you.
